Story
Your name is Ash Ketchum and you're about to embark on your big Pokémon adventure. Unfortunately, you stayed up all night watching Pokémon battles and woke up late! With all your rivals from Pallet Town (the most annoying being Gary) having taken all the starters available, it looks like you'll just have to go home ... unless you want Pikachu instead.
You're about to embark on an adventure of 116 events (plus two movie events) that will put you in Ash's shoes, allow you to catch the Pokémon he catches, and make the decisions he makes. How will your journey as Ash Ketchum play out? There's only one way to find out!

This game is probably one of the best hacks I have ever played. The only one I can think of that can compare is Prism, but that's a story for another day. I rate this game a 9.9 only because once you figure out there aren't any HM's it is not that difficult. so I would give it a 4 or 4.5 for difficulty The game has more depth than the original games, with plenty of things to do along the way, like race a Ponyta against a Dodrio. I would give it a 9 for depth. The story follows the original Pokémon series, starting with Pikachu, and going through all the things ash had to go through (ex. Getting carried away by an Aerodactyl). so I give the story a perfect 10. I played this game for like 6 hours yesterday, until I beat all 8 gyms, so yes it is addictive. I give it a perfect 10 as well. I leave my volume off while playing, so I just rated it 9 for fun... =/ The graphics are good, there are a couple places were its weird, like after you leave Mt. Moon , there is a little river in the mountain at the bottom of the screen, that is completely cut off. There are other little graphical issues, but nothing major. I give it a 9. Overall I would give this game a 9.9, and say its a must play for anyone who likes Pokémon. |
